How much does the A2 certification cost?
The registration fee for the telc A2 Deutsch exam in Frankfurt is €180.00. This single fee covers the complete paper-based examination, official grading by telc, and your printed certificate.
Is the oral exam taken alone or with a partner?
The A2 speaking section is typically a pair examination. You will complete the oral test alongside one other candidate. Please note that there is no preparation time given immediately before the speaking section begins!
What do I need to bring on the day of the test?
You must present a valid, physical photo ID (such as your original passport or national ID card) and your booking confirmation. We will supply all necessary testing materials, including pencils and paper.
Can I take the written and oral sections on different days?
No, both parts of the assessment are conducted on the exact same day. This ensures a streamlined process, allowing you to complete your entire language certification in just one visit to our testing center.
Am I allowed to retake just the oral or written part if I fail?
No, the standard telc German A2 exam cannot be taken as a partial examination. If you do not achieve a passing score overall, you will need to retake the entire exam (both the written and oral sections). You can, however, retake the full exam as often as you like.
How long does it take to get my certificate?
The grading process is handled centrally by the telc headquarters and usually takes about 3 to 6 weeks. As soon as your official results arrive at our Frankfurt location, we will send you an email notification right away.
